Comparative Essay: EXO vs. BTS

People have different types of hobbies in their lives. Such as reading books, collecting stamps, watching the night sky, doing sports, etc. But some people like to listen to music. specially teenagers. The K-pop industry is one of a different type of music culture. There are so many groups musical groups in there. Such as BTS, SHINEE, ASTRO, EXO, TXT, INFINITE, ATEEZ, WANNA ONE, GOT7, BLACKPINK, TWICE, RED VELVET, etc. but many people love BTS more than the other groups. Also, there are so many fans of EXO in countries all around the world. But my opinion is that BTS is better than EXO.

First, I would like to discuss the choreographies of both groups. BTS has very powerful dance moves and very difficult to copy their choreographies. Because they have more than ten years of experience in their career. Also, EXO has very attractive choreographies and they always try to do their best for their fandom called EXO-L .and some choreographies are quite difficult to do.

Secondly, I like to discuss both of their songs. Exo songs are very popular among teenagers because most of their songs are about true love, the sadness of a breakup, childhood crush, first love, one side love, high school love, school heart flutter, romantic feelings, the love untold, unacceptable love like same-sex love, etc. so many people like their songs. But in BTS songs they also talk about these topics, but in a very different way. The themes of their songs are topics that people always try to skip or hide.it is a mental issue. Such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, panic attacks, different types of phobias, and specially about childhood trauma. Unluckily, there are so many people all around the world who are suffering from these kinds of problems.so BTS songs can touch their s hearts and their soul. that is why people love them so much.

Then I would like to apricate both of their messages which are always given by their songs. EXO is always trying to relax the minds of their fans and they always try to understand the feelings of their fans. Also, they launch a fan meeting annually. Also, BTS gives so many positive messages to people. These are some examples of it. Always love yourself first, speak for yourself, don’t be trapped in someone else’s dream, live with your passions, etc. Also, they go to the United Nations by representing South Korea.

Next, I love to talk about both of their talents. There are 12 members in EXO. Some are very good at rapping like Chenyol, Kris Wu, and Tao. Some are good at vocals like Kai, Baekhyun, and Luhan. Also, BTS is a very talented group. Their leader is the main rapper of the group called RM. people describe him as a rap god. And they have another two rappers called J- hope and Suga. People say that these three idols were born to be rappers. and they have amazing four vocalists who call JK, V, Jin, and Jimin. They have an angel voice. it sounds like it can purify the soul. They are good at taking high notes. And their performances are unbelievable. they are very attractive and energetic.

In the end, I would like to discuss both of their personal lives. EXO started its journey with so many problems. They did not have enough money to do their work. Also, BTS has a very tragic story. they started their career with empty hands. they had to leave their parents at a young age to achieve their childhood dreams. Because of this situation, some of the members had to face depression. and some members have childhood trauma too. and all of them are children of very poor families. Their parents are not educated people, and some are farmers. Haters did so many rude activities even in public places to hurt them. But they did not give up. Now, BTS is the biggest K-pop boy band in the world. They got tons of awards for their songs. now, they are millionaires and have high assets.

Both groups are doing a really good job and I love both groups. All the members are very polite and try to do their best for fans. According to both of their choreographies, skills, topics of songs, and social activeness, BTS is better than EXO. It is my opinion.
